Bug’s Bleat - - SPECIAL
Volume 14, Tuesday, September 4, 2012

The Mission Church, 417 West Main in Magnolia, announces their Grand Opening service scheduled for Sunday, September 9 at 11:00 AM. The church is led by Pastor Jimmy Malone, a graduate of Magnolia High School and Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The ministry team is rounded out by Asst. Pastor, John Britton, and Children’s Pastor, Karen Clark.

Pastor Malone stated: “The Mission Church is dedicated to being a church for people who do not go to church. As the majority of Columbia County’s residents do not attend church regularly, there is a real need for a new church to reach them.”

Starting in a living room in Waldo in October 2010, The Mission Church has met in several locations, including the Bethel Church fellowship hall and the SAU Reynolds Center. They have been remodeling the old Captain Video building across from Fred’s for months as funds came available. Pastor Malone explained “We are thankful for our church members as well as members of many other Assembly Of God Churches in South Arkansas and North Louisiana as well as Christians from other congregations in Magnolia who have worked hard to help us finish remodeling this building.”
